Mustangs Girl’s Hockey – Try Hockey for Free

The New Mexico Mustangs Girls Hockey Association is hosting a twice-a-week, 3-week-long try-hockey-for-free program for girls only, aged 8 (birth year 2013) to 14 (birth year 2007). The program will include skating instruction and hockey skills development by USA Hockey certified coaches. New players will have the opportunity to skate alongside current Mustangs hockey players. Dates and times are:

Gear fitting:

  • Saturday, August 21 – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
  • Sunday, August 22 – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

On ice sessions: (Please arrive 30 minutes before ice time to get dressed in gear)

  • Thursday, August 26, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, East Training Rink
  • Sunday, August 29, 7:00 to to 8:00 pm, East Training Rink
  • Thursday, September 2, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, East Training Rink
  • Sunday, September 5, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, North Rink(Brief Orientation on Mustangs Hockey Association following Practice)
  • Thursday, September 9, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, East Training Rink
  • Sunday, September 12, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, North Rink (Brief Orientation on Mustangs Hockey Association following Practice)

All sessions are at the Outpost Ice Arena at 9530 Tramway Blvd. N.E. We will provide gear to new girls, but we will need to get the player fitted prior to the first session. The New Mexico Mustangs Girls Hockey Association is a hockey association dedicated to girls hockey players only. The Mustangs field girls-only teams for play in New Mexico, and travel teams to play in Colorado.
